This one is for the people living longer term in Thailand. I will keep this post short. I much prefer eating Mexican than talking about it.
Good Mexican food is not easy to find in Thailand. As a Californian in Thailand, this is almost tragic. There are a few spots worth trying (Que Pasa, Tortilla Quemada, Mexicano) but La Monita Taqueria stands above them all.
In Mahatun plaza, near the Pholenchit BTS station, you will find La Monita’s serving it up. It will more expensive than what you’ll pay for a burrito or taco at home. But when you need your fix, this is the spot.
They put an emphasis on making it authentic. They don’t try to get too cute with a bunch of fusion recipes. This is a place where I can get my tacos al pastor greasy and delicious.
