Tucked in between Bangkok’s Yaowarat (Chinatown) and Phahurat (Little India) there is an up and coming canal walk for all people to check out. Lining the Ong Ang Canal you can try a variety of quick bites at the food stalls from the daytime into the evening as you admire the urban wall art.
One quiet evening, as I walked down the canal walk and approached Sapan Han (the Han Bridge), I saw an unexpected slithering movement in the canal. My initial thought was that another monitor lizard was going for a swim. But upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a Burmese Python!
Despite the lack of daylight and the snake’s expert swimming abilities, I tried to catch it on camera. Check out the video below, there is always something interesting and unexpected to see in Bangkok!
Indiana Jones would not have approved.
